Ferreira is a family-owned business. C. Mercedes Ferreira, leads our talented design team. Mercedes dedicated the first 16 years of her career to the high-end apparel industry, designing leather, fur and evening and special occasion wear. Her work was regularly featured in Town and Country and Women’s Wear Daily magazines, and sold in major department stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom. Mercedes’ artistry lies in her designs’ exquisite detailing.

Mercedes joined our team with a deep seated love of the recreational mountain lifestyle and an appreciation for the majesty of nature and its glorious change of seasons. Almost inevitably, her aesthetic vision grew over the years to include indoor environments that captured all that was beautiful about the outdoors. She was inspired by the stunning mountain regions in which she passed so much of her time throughout her life – the Laurentian Mountains north of Montreal, the Austrian and Swiss Alps, the Adirondacks and the Sierra Nevada’s. She began to design luxurious decorative home furnishings that reflected natural beauty and the serenity evoked by these regions. This is the foundation for the design philosophy of all Ferreira’s collections.

Ferreira was founded by Mercedes sister and two business partners in early 2004. The Ferreira team embodies the spirit of family, friends and community, and the recreational lifestyles and domestic tranquility that fulfill and relax us all. The Ferreira collection, designed with a hint of urban sensibility, is beautiful, unique and functional. Our luxurious rustic home furnishings allow our clientele – whether decorating a private home or a resort lodge - to create an alluring environment for a very personal “ultimate great escape.”
